A New President - History Is Made!

I'm gonna say this right now....I am glad it is finally all over. Seems like now maybe we can gain some normalcy!
Down way deep as a child of women's lib....yes...I wanted a woman to be president or vice-president. It just seemed like it should be our turn. What's with all the men...sort of deal?
I didn't much care for Hillary....way too harsh to win over a nation...not to mention...convince other world leaders to side with her.
Then, there was Gov. Palin...oh...I was so hopeful for her in the beginning. I think it was the Katie Couric interview....that shook me...I think she was just not properly prepared. I also would not want anything overturned with her in office...either! I am not a fan of moving forward and then going backward.
I'm happy history seems to be made due to this election...I am happy for Obama and his family...but I am sad that we remain a nation....that today is happy that a black man will be sworn in as president in January....instead of ...well...a man!

Living With Ed

Have you seen this show yet....on that green channel?
and isn't it so fantastic....that there is now a GREEN channel around???

Ed Begley, Jr. and his wife....have this show that they tell you all about living GREEN!!

and i love it....i love this show....

i now have a wish list of all the green things i want to do at my house....

like rain barrels.....so the rain water can be collected and re-used as water for the garden, etc.
so very cool....but so very great, too!

and i want a compost machine....or i would even settle for a compost pile....if I were promised there would be no snakes living in it!

so...check it out....if you ever spot it on your channel line-up....
it's entertaining.....very educational on a green level.....
and it even makes you laugh!

thanks Ed.....

Our Sunday

We turned the clocks back last night....
so that equates to one extra hour of sleep for us!
So, we slept in....
went thru the nice and thick Sunday paper,
had a great breakfast...I made...
cleaned up the never ending leaves in the yard...
took a minute to enjoy the fresh air around me...
went out to lunch together...no kids...as grown-ups..
washed the cars,
enjoyed bob's favorite pizza..
touched base with the parents...
had ice cream from brusters...
watched desperate housewives!
I say....now,
this ....
was a great Sunday
at the Koch's!!
